Taste of Angus Breakfast, Murton Farm Tearoom, Forfar
10am-12 noon (Closed Mon and Tues)
Enjoy a Taste of Angus breakfast featuring delicious local produce all throughout this week. The best way to start the day!

Taste of Angus menu, Pavilion Café, Montrose
The Pavilion Café will be treating customers to daily Scottish specials throughout March. During Taste of Angus Festival week these specials will showcase the wonderful food of Angus. Check on Facebook every day for details.

Taste of Angus menu, Forbes of Kingennie
Forbes of Kingennie is owned and run by the Forbes family who also own neighbouring Omachie Farm which produces fresh, home grown produce including pork, berries, petit pois peas and free range eggs! During Taste of Angus week, head chef Gordon will be serving up daily specials using the farm’s own pork as part of the all-day menu. It doesn’t get more local than this!

Set among some of Arbroath’s finest smokehouses at the “fit o the Toon” is Bon Bon, a tea room and restaurant serving Arbroath’s favourite export, the world famous Smokie. During the Taste of Angus Week treat yourself to a taster plate of some of our speciality smokie dishes. Try a little grilled smokie with lemon, smokie crepe and smokie-cakes with chilli jam. Taste of Angus Chocolates, 88 Degrees, High Street, Kirriemuir
Pay a visit to 88 Degrees during Taste of Angus Festival week and treat yourself to some delicious Angus themed handmade chocolates. Made using produce with Angus is famous for including berries, gin and beer, there will be plenty to choose from!

‘Open Doors’ At The Hideaway Experience, Balkello, Auchterhouse

Enjoy a self guided walk up Balkello Hill and admire the amazing view from the top, taking in Dundee and beyond over to Fife. On your return to the farmhouse you will be served with home-made cakes and refreshments and have a chance to view the Hideaways – the perfect retreat for couples. Tuesday 21 March

An Afternoon with Cliff Bertram, Local Butcher, Gateway to the Glens Museum, Kirriemuir

Cliff Bertram has been the local Kirriemuir butcher for many years. He is passionate about what he does and has many interesting and amusing tales to tell about his time in the trade. Vodka Distillery Tour, Hatton of Ogilvy Farm, Glamis - SOLD OUT

An exclusive chance to see behind the scenes at Ogilvy Distillery. Join us for a tour of our distillery to see the process from ground to glass of the making of our Scottish Potato Vodka. The tour will be hosted by Graeme Jarron, Owner and Farmer at Ogilvy Farm, who can give you an insight in to the trials and tribulations of creating our potato spirit.  The tour will conclude with a sampling of vodka and premixed cocktail range (well it would be rude not to!). Open to over 18’s only.  Please note that this is a working farm, and the ground can a bit muddy and uneven outside the distillery, although the tour will be held inside the distillery. Wednesday 22 March

Meet The Brewer at the Caledonian Hotel, Brechin
7-9pm
John Leatherbarrow and Andy Donald founded Park Brew in 2016 in a shed. They have since moved to commercial accommodation in Brechin and the business is going from strength to strength. John and Andy will be at the Caledonian Hotel to talk about their journey and their range of craft ales. You will also get the chance to sample their products.

Thursday 23 March

‘Down on the Farm’ Experience, Newton Farm Holidays, Inverarity
2pm-4pm
£10 adults, children go free
Join Louise Nicoll and her family on their farm and have the chance to meet the animals including new Spring arrivals and unusual residents such as the family’s herd of Boer Goats, the alpacas and Lucy the Micropig! As well as getting up close to the livestock, you can learn about modern farming practices, where your food comes from and what life is like on a working farm. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Sensible footwear and warm clothing should be worn. Price includes refreshments and home baking. Hospitalfield Garden Café Preview, Hospitalfield House, Arbroath

This is a great opportunity to sample a taste of what is to come from Hospitalfield's new Garden Café, which opens on Wednesday 5 April. Hospitalfield Chef Gillian Veal has created a delicious menu inspired by ingredients from Angus, with several items being grown in our own garden. Come and spend a memorable afternoon at Hospitalfield, meet the team and speak with some of the volunteers who tend the lovely gardens. We welcome you and your family and friends to come visit and enjoy this beautiful place. The Food Life Market & Moveable Feast, Strathmore Hall, Forfar
10am–6pm
Join The Food Life for a celebration of all things local with a whole host of foodie treats. There will be a farmer’s market area where young farmers will be selling produce grown locally, market stalls featuring goodies from the likes of Arbroath Quality Fish, 88 Degrees, Fresh Food Express and Good Food Good Feelings, and a drinks area with Bouvrage, Ogilvy Vodka, The Gin Bothy and new, Tipple in a Tuk Tuk amongst others. The Royal Highland Educational Trust will be there with fun educational activities for children and of course there will be a wide range of food from local premium food vendors including Artisana, Sacred Grounds, Wild Fire Pizza, Cav & Co, T-Potters Café and many more! Plus a pop up restaurant and stunning dining area. A fantastic day out for all the family and a great treat for Mother’s Day. What an excellent way to support local small businesses!
